Insta-Grass

A new project that consumed a massive amount of labor and an intensive back breaking process which in the middle of it was a regrettable work to accomplish. Not trying to brag in any way about it but a friend and myself stayed up until 2:15 in the AM to get almost all of it done last night we thought we would up-chuck or pass out or do both all at once around 1am. We also had to take 5 min breaks very frequently, it is funny looking back 24hrs to see what we have completed. There is some left to finish up but it's about 80% there, it looks OK for amateur hour!

Shower . . .

Lately Jackson has been loving to take showers. Mainly because he has discovered that if he wears these fancy goggles no water can get into his eyes or his mouth. They are so big, that the part where his nose is supposed to go it actually covers his mouth too.

So, this is LOVE <3

Today Wesley and I celebrate our 3 year anniversary! The time has gone by so quickly especially with raising the boys and moving the few times we have since being married. We have had some crazy times but its all been worth it. Marriage requires a lot of work even when there is tons of love there. We have had our fights which always ended pretty quick because neither one of us could go without laughing.

It still amazes me how much alike Wesley and I are and it's still shocking when I see how completely different we are as well. We hit it off from the beginning, well almost from the beginning, we hit it off when I decided to give him a chance ; ) We loved being goofy and acting like kids. We have had gum spitting competitions, skee-ball tournaments and attempted a romantic movie in the park until the "park security" guy made us leave cause the park was closed!
I love our late night pillow talks and being able to tell eachother everything. He truly is my best friend and I'm so glad that we will spend Forever together.
He is such a great dad and husband, I'm so lucky and grateful for all that he does and puts up with. I look forward to many more anniversaries and memories to come!

Kids Say The Darnest Things. . . .

Jackson has been talking so well lately. It seems like over night he was using new vocabulary and putting together new sentences. Of course never a dull moment when you have kids.

We have a dead mouse out on our driveway and we were getting ready to leave, as I was putting Jackson in his car seat he asked, " Mom, is mickey mouse sleeping?" To which Dominic replied," He's not sleeping he's dead."

Jackson has also been calling me Dan-nell. Today we were getting gas and Dominic wanted me to get him a toy in the backseat he kept saying, " Mom,mom!" I had already told him no so at this point I was ignoring the him. But Jack piped in and said, " No, it's Dan-nell brother." Jack thinks if I fail to anwser by mom that Dan-nell is the only way to go!

Fire Station Field Trip

So thrilled to be in the fire truck!
Jack seems a bit more enthused!
Waiting for a turn to spray the hose!

Dominic had his first field trip for school and of course what child wouldn't want to go to the Fire Dept? Jackson and I got to go too which was a lot of fun. They let the kids hold on to the fire hose and each kid had a chance to spray the water. Well all but a few. . . Dominic was next in line to squirt water from the hose but the Firemen got word that a 6'4 male had escaped from somewhere and was armed and possibly suicidal so they kindly escorted us back into the station and shut and locked the doors. Exciting!!! We got to see where the firemen spent their time when they weren't busy working. The kids got to slide down the fire pole but not from the very top. The fireman lifted them to about the middle of the pole and then let them slide. The kids really enjoyed it!!!!!!! And as for the escapee we still don't know!!

Wal-Mart + Jackson= Happy Child (momentarily)

At first I'm not sure Jackson liked the idea of Dominic going to school especially since he wasn't able to go with him. But since Dominic has been in preschool Jackson and I will go and run errands or go to the park or go on walks. I think he is now enjoying the days that Dominic is in school cause we will do things that we don't usually get to do just one on one. For example we usually don't ever do the "fun center" at Wal-mart but I figured this day that it would be easier to get one kid out of there instead of two. He really enjoyed his bull ride and then threw a fit when it was time to leave. But all in all he is a very different kid when we get our one on one time together.

Surprise!!!!!!

Sherrie, Wesley and Bobby!
Jackson, Dominic,Jayse and Breeana
Breeana and Dominic still two peas in a pod!
They all look so innocent, its a good thing they are so cute!

We had the biggest Surprise last Thursday! Wesley's mom called me Wednesday night to give me a heads up that they were going to be at our house the next day. I did not believe her because Wesley's parents don't usually do such spontaneous things such as driving 1000 miles during the school/work week. As soon as I believed her I was so excited but I had to keep it a secret from Wesley, which was so hard! I had to keep a straight face and try to act normal even though I was all giddy inside. So sure enough they got here the next afternoon, all day I had asked Wesley when he thought he would be home which is my usual question! His dad even gave him a call ( outside of course, our kids in the background would have given it away) and asked what his plans were for the night and were he was out working at. As usual it was a pretty windy day here in Kansas, Wesley noticed and asked Bobby why it was so windy!! Anyway we waited what seemed like forever for Wesley to get home, we had his parents car parked in our neighbors garage so nothing looked out of place. I kept texting him to hurry home cause I was going nuts with the boys. Finally we see Wesley driving down the road so our plan was this: Bobby,Sherrie,Audie and the boys would go to the basement and make a ton of noise and I would be making dinner and as soon as he were to walk in I was going to tell him to go handle the boys who were trashing the basement. So everyone is in the basement and I'm waiting for Wesley to walk thru the door but it was taking him forever so I went outside to find him cleaning the inside of his truck and I was like, " Your truck can wait I need your help with the kids, they are downstairs trashing the basement and I still have dinner to make!" I was acting super stressed out, it was so tough not to break out laughing. Now he is finally in the house and ticked cause he sees me so "stressed" out, he heads downstairs where alot of noise is going on. And Wesley sees the big surprise! He was so shocked because it was totally out-of-the-blue. So there were hugs and laughing and even a little crying,Audie : )! At this point I was in the kitchen to actually get dinner made and had called Wesleys sister Melinda to tell her his reaction. Everyone else was outside checking out Wesleys new truck. Then Wesley walks in holding the cutest little girl and now I was shocked/surprised when I realized that Janell and Tyler and their three kids made the long trek also to see us!! We had such a great time just hanging out, it was a very much needed visit from family! We love you guys and thanks for all the excitement!

Dominics First Day of Preschool

Last Thursday Dominic had his first day at Preschool. He had a lot of fun and even made a few friends, which shall remain nameless because Dominic couldn't remember their names. He always looks forward to going to his school and loves that there is "snack time".

Leading By Example. . . . . .

Jackson has been obsessed with the Book of Mormon. Every time we are in the guest bedroom he gets it out and gets all snugly in the bed and starts flipping through the pages quite seriously. He loves the picture of Jesus inside and he always shows me and says, " wook mom is zesus". When he found the picture of Joseph Smith he told me, " wook mom is my daddy". I have to say there is no resemblance between Wesley and Joseph Smith! But Jackson seems to think otherwise.

Piece of Cake!!

Now that I am done reading the Twilight Series I have been looking for other things to help keep me busy! So lucky for me I have a baby shower to go to this weekend so I decided that I would try making a Diaper Cake!!! It was extremely easy and a very fun way to give diapers and other odds-and-ends!!!!

A Great Day For the Park!

Today was such a nice day, it was cool and not humid so we headed for the park. However it was cut short when Jackson re-opened a scab on his knee by falling on the ground. Poor guy didn't even realize it until he noticed his shorts and the blood. So we took off and got him bandaged up!!!

The Garden update

The Snap Peas and the 1st Harvest and they taste just like they did When Grandpa Larson and I had no jobs and there was an available saw horse near by under the great big ash trees in Grandma & Grandpa's backyard next to the Egg-room. Once again the small things in life which you Cherish most. I am proud to say that i can now go out in my very own Garden with my little Boys pick our own peas and sit on the Back porch steps maybe they will remember these small moments.

THE BREAD

It has taken 3-4 batch's of bread and about 40 cups of whole wheat flour and 1 millions phone calls to Mom. Thank goodness she loves me I hope? I am pretty positive she / they are annoyed of me but oh well. This has been the best Batch so far and it is tastes just like i remember it. That's also pretty awesome for a guy.

Preschool. . .

When we first moved here I started looking for a Preschool for Dominic. It was a bit discouraging because there was not a Preschool in town that had room. I then heard about a Preschool at the Methodist church so I called to talk to the teacher, who sounded wonderful. She told me all about the Preschool program and the activities they do, to then find out that she was unable to take on another child. But I could be put on a waiting list of about 60+ and if we made the "cut" he may be able to attend 08' school year. So I filled out the paperwork and waited and waited. Then one day we received his letter of "acceptance",I was ecstatic! I felt like Dominic had been accepted into college! : ) Last night Dominic was able to meet his classmates and check out his classroom. He had a lot of fun and told me, " I like this Preschool!" He will start August 28th and will go Tues and Thurs afternoons. He is really looking forward to having homework (So he says, we'll see how long that lasts)!

The Garden update

This is the garden and these are my little babies. Who would have ever thought of Watermelon oh my mercy 1 of my all time favorite things in this small universe. It's taken a while to be able to see the fruits of my labor in this small garden of ours, but rewarding to see it coming though. A few more weeks and we can really enjoy these melons. It's been fun to see the garden come together overtime. I have really grown to appreciate these small things you don't think about while growing up like the time your Parents and Grandparents put into their garden for us all to enjoy.

Sweet Tooth, anyone?

My sister-in-law Em, sent me a recipe for a chocolate and peanut butter dessert. That combo is one of my weaknesses but I decided to make it any. It was super delicious and super sweet so a small piece was more than enough. If you want the recipe go to http://www.tasteofhome.com/, the name of it is peanut butter chocolate dessert, pretty straight to the point!
