Leading By Example. . . . . .

Jackson has been obsessed with the Book of Mormon. Every time we are in the guest bedroom he gets it out and gets all snugly in the bed and starts flipping through the pages quite seriously. He loves the picture of Jesus inside and he always shows me and says, " wook mom is zesus". When he found the picture of Joseph Smith he told me, " wook mom is my daddy". I have to say there is no resemblance between Wesley and Joseph Smith! But Jackson seems to think otherwise.

Piece of Cake!!

Now that I am done reading the Twilight Series I have been looking for other things to help keep me busy! So lucky for me I have a baby shower to go to this weekend so I decided that I would try making a Diaper Cake!!! It was extremely easy and a very fun way to give diapers and other odds-and-ends!!!!

A Great Day For the Park!

Today was such a nice day, it was cool and not humid so we headed for the park. However it was cut short when Jackson re-opened a scab on his knee by falling on the ground. Poor guy didn't even realize it until he noticed his shorts and the blood. So we took off and got him bandaged up!!!

The Garden update

The Snap Peas and the 1st Harvest and they taste just like they did When Grandpa Larson and I had no jobs and there was an available saw horse near by under the great big ash trees in Grandma & Grandpa's backyard next to the Egg-room. Once again the small things in life which you Cherish most. I am proud to say that i can now go out in my very own Garden with my little Boys pick our own peas and sit on the Back porch steps maybe they will remember these small moments.

THE BREAD

It has taken 3-4 batch's of bread and about 40 cups of whole wheat flour and 1 millions phone calls to Mom. Thank goodness she loves me I hope? I am pretty positive she / they are annoyed of me but oh well. This has been the best Batch so far and it is tastes just like i remember it. That's also pretty awesome for a guy.

Preschool. . .

When we first moved here I started looking for a Preschool for Dominic. It was a bit discouraging because there was not a Preschool in town that had room. I then heard about a Preschool at the Methodist church so I called to talk to the teacher, who sounded wonderful. She told me all about the Preschool program and the activities they do, to then find out that she was unable to take on another child. But I could be put on a waiting list of about 60+ and if we made the "cut" he may be able to attend 08' school year. So I filled out the paperwork and waited and waited. Then one day we received his letter of "acceptance",I was ecstatic! I felt like Dominic had been accepted into college! : ) Last night Dominic was able to meet his classmates and check out his classroom. He had a lot of fun and told me, " I like this Preschool!" He will start August 28th and will go Tues and Thurs afternoons. He is really looking forward to having homework (So he says, we'll see how long that lasts)!

The Garden update

This is the garden and these are my little babies. Who would have ever thought of Watermelon oh my mercy 1 of my all time favorite things in this small universe. It's taken a while to be able to see the fruits of my labor in this small garden of ours, but rewarding to see it coming though. A few more weeks and we can really enjoy these melons. It's been fun to see the garden come together overtime. I have really grown to appreciate these small things you don't think about while growing up like the time your Parents and Grandparents put into their garden for us all to enjoy.

Sweet Tooth, anyone?

My sister-in-law Em, sent me a recipe for a chocolate and peanut butter dessert. That combo is one of my weaknesses but I decided to make it any. It was super delicious and super sweet so a small piece was more than enough. If you want the recipe go to http://www.tasteofhome.com/, the name of it is peanut butter chocolate dessert, pretty straight to the point!

Armed and Potty Training

Who could resist this guy?
No need for a watch dog, Jackson has it covered!
He also has an artistic side!

I have been trying for several weeks to potty train Jackson and we are still working on it. As long as he is in the buff he will sit on the Potty without any accidents. But as soon as he has underwear or a pull up covering him he does his business where ever he sees fit.
