Denver Zoo

While in Denver we took the boys to the Denver Zoo. We had fun but I feel that once you've seen one Monkey, you've seen them all. But it was good exercise and it wore the boys out. Afterwards we went back to the hotel and the boys went swimming with their friends Symon and Carter. They slept pretty well that night. Friday night we were able to go to the Temple with Wesley's parents ( Thanks Doug again for watching the boys) it was a great experience. Then later that night Wes and I went on a little date to Chili's. We shared our favorite dessert the Molten Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream it was delicious. The next morning we did a little more shopping and then headed home. It was a great little get away.

Denver Trip

We finally had a good excuse to get out of Hays. We had a ward temple trip that was in Denver and luckily Wesley's parents were able to meet us in Denver and spend sometime with us and the boys . When we got into Denver we drove to the temple and it looked so beautiful especially at night. After that we headed straight for Target. I miss Target so much. Then as soon as Wesleys parents arrived we drove around aimlessly trying to figure out where we would stay. Our friend Kristi had booked us all hotel rooms but not until the next day. We didn't realize that we would be going up a day earlier. But eventually we found a hotel and stayed up late talking and catching up. The next day our morning consisted of some shopping , which I am always up for. The rest of the day we just hung out, the boys were pretty exhausted.

These Boots Were Made For Walkin

So during Jacksons birthday the kids were plaing downstairs and Jackson came across something that once was Dominic's and he has worn them ever since. They were a Wal-Mart special that Wesleys mom got like three years ago and Dominic wore them all the time, I'm surprised that they are still in good enough shape for Jackson to wear.

We bought this giant t-rex and the kids loved it. He got beat up pretty good!

Well it is official Jackson is 3. We had such a fun birthday party. We had his little friends come over and they colored dinosaur pictures and went on a dinosaur egg hunt. And of course we enjoyed cake and ice cream. Jackson had such a great day!

Blogger Bum

We'll I've decided that I've let everyone build up enough suspense to what the Bernals are doing!j/k. We have just been so busy with life that I've put off ever updating. So I'll catch everyone up to speed. We'll lets start back to Nov. Wes and I were finally sealed together along with Jackson and it was great and we are looking forward to a ward temple trip that is coming up in March. We will be going to the Denver Temple. Also in Dec I was called to be Primary President and Wesley was called as 1st counselor in the Young Mens, so needless to say our callings alone have consumed alot of time. The boys are doing great last night we checked out the school where Dominic will go in August. It is so sad to think that he is growing up so fast. Jackson is as good as Jackson can be. We are getting ready to have a 3rd Birthday for him. He has been obsessed with Dinosaurs so naturally he will be having a Dinosaur Party! Well that is pretty much it in a nutshell. After Jacksons Party I'll be sure to post some pics.

Insta-Grass

A new project that consumed a massive amount of labor and an intensive back breaking process which in the middle of it was a regrettable work to accomplish. Not trying to brag in any way about it but a friend and myself stayed up until 2:15 in the AM to get almost all of it done last night we thought we would up-chuck or pass out or do both all at once around 1am. We also had to take 5 min breaks very frequently, it is funny looking back 24hrs to see what we have completed. There is some left to finish up but it's about 80% there, it looks OK for amateur hour!

Shower . . .

Lately Jackson has been loving to take showers. Mainly because he has discovered that if he wears these fancy goggles no water can get into his eyes or his mouth. They are so big, that the part where his nose is supposed to go it actually covers his mouth too.
